It’s not like you don’t care if anyone else gets what you do-you absolutely want to connect with others, and to know that you share something. But the second you decide to stop trying to sound like someone else and to express who you are, that’s when you stop needing other people to like what you’re doing. I try really hard to think about what I do not as an audition, but as an offer…instead of “Am I good enough?” I try to think about true enough.
